Soooo, bottom line is that in 2018, 1500+ pilots will be retired? Assuming this is true, AA will be hiring, even if most furloughs come back.

EXACTLY... cause while we all know that for the long term health of a business, it's best to grow your market... the truth is CEO's and airline beancounter execs are usually in it for the short run, and in the short run, it's always better for your bonus and stock if you cut costs and trim fat.... Then you just leave to another airline (or other job) and leave the mess for someone else to sort out.

AA could be like UAL inside of 8 years... who knows. Recall for me is something I think about as much as I think about winning the lottery.
