Sadly, this is the way I read him too.

I honestly do not know. I DO believe that he has a passion for alpa that is sometimes blind, but in a way I admire that. I am also glad that there are those out there that ask the questions and question the answers. Just like my small crusade against this ridiculous trip swapping thing that is about to be rammed down our throats... another time for another rant... back on point.. I will gladly accept whatever he has to say on the subject of the seniority list.

What the hell is this trip out of base swapping and how has this come to be? Who is pushing for this? is it a local LEC or the MEC?
Sounds like B.S. at first glance but i want to make sure i know what i am talking about before i call my Rep.

Sounds to me like it will screw an already screwed up Resv system and help the company reduce resv staffing. Am i off on this?

How about preferential interviews for those pilots already providing Delta lift under the connection banner? Why start with outside pilots if trying to recapture the flying? Then you can potentially kill two birds (reduce size of DCI, gain a bottom of list pilot familiar with DAL customers and routes)...

I couldn't imagine a BOD that would sign off on only having 1 DCI carrier or having it all in house. And I'm sure ALPA national would balk to if we announced we're going to bring CPZ in house and get rid of all of the rest.

I'm not offering a solution, just thinking out loud.

Because that would badly disadvantage our military pilots who want to join the majors. Now if you want preferential interviewing for pilots that defend the nation and put their lives at risk...I'd listen to that.

Don't see how you conflate us gaining back OUR flying with giving some kind of reward to the pilots flying it. The two have nothing to do with each other.

Pretty sure lots of qualified non-DCI pilots could figure out our passengers and routes just fine. Plus there is no assurance that these DCI pilots would be at the bottom of our list.

I overall agree, however military pilots already get preferential interviews at DL.

The only thing ridiculous and petty is your constant straw man arguments. Carl NEVER SAID they weren't "borne of the same fire" or anything of the sort. The only thing Carl HAS SAID is that these pilots must go through the exact same hiring process as we all did.

You're never going to gain support for your idea of merging DCI pilots into our seniority list if you constantly lie about what people have said here.

Not advocating a SLI, I am stating that when the time comes and we pull more flying back in house, we acting like a union and do more than pee on our fellow union brothers and sisters.
