Thanks for all the replies. There is a discussion on our union board on this subject as well... I truly wish you all the best of luck, it is a tough position to be in. We are probably not far behind...

ATR, can you please calm down for a second and tell how this would pan out (with a straight face):
1. Fence drops in 7 years.
2. Common contract in place.
3. 80 737's replace 80Airbuses.

I'm about the 1000 mark now. What happens to me?

The plan was to immediately park about 10-20 Airbuses, and you were reportedly fat on pilots at the time.

Uh.....hence the word scheduled. Bedford did accelerate the termination of the final aircraft, but it is a fact those aircraft were going away before acquisition. Bedford changed the timing, but the final result was the same.

Or as much support as you Midwest guys gave to the Skyway pilots? I guess sitting in the ivory tower believing that Uncle Timmy would NEVER do to you what he did to Skyway sure didn't work out so well, huh? Cry me a river, Rat... Better yet, crawl back into the hole you were hiding in, will ya?

Be glad you even have a job. You could be like me and have it ripped out from under you by pilot groups who don't give a damn. I'll be sure to give you as much support as you gave me.

Can you guys explain in a nutshell what is going on?

I do know that Republic bought Frontier a couple of years ago. That's it - that's all I know.

What exactly are you guys angry about?

thx,

The short answer to your question is that seniority integrations have always been contentious. Throw in the massive reconfiguration of the industry over the last decade, those forces have gotten even worse. It seems now the new norm for seniority brawls to end up in self destructive spirals where pilots would rather lose their jobs or work under sub-sub-sub-sub standard contracts rather than lose one number. There is virtually no perspective here and it's worse at US Air. Accept the list, move forward, get a better contract, that's the only way to go. Instead, the insanity is winning more often than not.

Your bus blockhours would very likely have gone up, even if some were parked. This would have resulted in recalls for your guys that were on the street. How's that for speculating about could-have-beens? All the best, especially yx.

Hockey players wear numbers, because dental records is not always enough to identify the body.

Then they wouldn't have had any problem with guaranteeing jobs and benefits.

Finally a non-F9 guy who is also fallling for BB's line.
You are so full of crap. Those 300 "RJ" Capts are senior to most of F9 guys anyhow. So, just because they fly RJs you are better than them?

Dumba$$!

We'll see how you feel when Bedford parts out his crumbling empire and some one says to you "we bought you, your contract is worthless", and suppose your new masters decide everyone flying a 50 seater will be furloughed out of seniority.
Then, again, it could be the best thing that ever happened to you 'cause you couldn't work for any worse low lifes than you do now.
