But Delta still has leases on the airplanes to cover, yes? They're still responsible for paying?

If it's just a matter of leases, I'm sure Bombardier would be happy to take those planes back and sell Delta CRJ900s or Cseries to be flown at mainline.

Somehow I think Delta extended those 9E leases to make sure DALPA didn't get any ideas.

How do you think they plan on getting the new RJ's while dumping the 50 seaters? By the way, I have some swampland in Florida to sell you.

No, they leave it to people in the negotiating profession to do it for them.
Well, that's a different matter, pilots can read...

I don't think they want to dump the newest, least expensive 50 seaters. They have the most life on them, and the company will be keeping some 50 seaters. They likely want to keep those, and will trade them to another 50 seat DCI operator. They can't just park older 50 seaters under contract with Skywest or ASA. So they offer newer 50 seaters to ASA or Skywest giving 9e some CRJ700's. It's a big shuffle.

I'll take that swamp land in Florida. I'll trade you my ocean front property in Arizona for it.

haha. well, we're saying the same thing then. I mean, we have traded planes to other DCI carriers tons of times. There are CA tail numbers at ASA, EV ones at Skywest..what I'm saying is they can just trade them to another airline, dump the old ones, and get newer 76 seaters. What I don't understand is why this is tied to our TA at all.

The company will purchase 717s because they need them.

The company will park 50 seater's because they will have to.

Managment must run this company profitablly. It just so happens to favor us now.

Yes voters...you are literally giving away something for free.

Please connect the dots guys. The 717 purchase has nothing to do with parking 50 seater's sooner. They can do that with our current contract. Nothing stops them.

They'd just like to do what they were gonna do anyways and get you to sign off on crap wages and additional 76 seater's.

Actually you are wrong. One is flying and the other two had family events and could not cancel them due to the close timing of the event.

I'm sure they could have been there if they wanted to be there. And the same goes for them being in their lounge. Are they there? If not, who is answering their pilots questions? My reps took a few days off after the meeting, and with the exception of the captain rep who was on vacation in Europe, they've been there nearly non-stop. Do they even care?

Um, one had to fly. Its that pesky displacement and new equipment, all the alpa stuff and needing to get consolidated or risk going back to the box for another checkride thing.

Its simple, I asked, got a straight answer.
