Hey Lumberg!!
1.) Go ahead and give away the 70/76s this time.
2.) Give away the 82/90s next time (for the same reason you are giving away the 70/76s this time).
3.) Give away the 737s, A320s and the MD-80s/90s next time.
4.) Spend your last years in the industry 'grabbing gear' at GoJet's when you are furloughed and that is where the jobs are at (ask the many furloughed United pilots currently grabbing gear at GoJets while the 25 year old newhires upgrade in Bryan Bedford's newest RJ).
But hey, that makes the MOST sense, becasue that will give Delta the MOST profits, and that is best for EVERYONE!!

Wait, are you a United guy? Please clean up your own house first, and then get to negotiating. Good luck!

The honorable Continental pilots have held the line at 50 seat jet RJs. That may be hard to maintain in the UCAL merger (especially with the Delta 'Lumbergs' trying so hard to give up more 76s).

Oh.. we gave up 33% of ours to "fund" meager pay rate increases while the company saves gobs of money through parking 50 seat RJ's which are going away anyways.

So don't fault us for our lousy negotiating because your company is mired in the badlands of a merger about to go bad. I mean - you do know how this whole section 6 RLA ALPA NMB labor thing works right? You realize that airline unions work as a COLLECTIVE bargaining agent. If you think you can demand so much more go ask RA or JS for it directly. You're obviously entitled enough to deserve it. Get real. If you're a Delta pilot this deal is good and is good for everyone on the list. If you're a UCAL pilot then you should be thanking us for being smart enough to negotiate small jet airframe swaps and top end hull counts. On top of the furlough protection and block hour ratio system we will have. I bet your crack management staff could have a few meetings about that and get back to you some time in October. Of 2013. Good luck.
Blows my mind how people can be so blind to the facts. Oh that's right because they spend so much time messing around chest thumping on here.

Hey, Sailor. What are those RJ's doing running around at LCC at mainline?
Yeah... those are facts, too.

No they haven't. They haven't voted on anything that pushed for 51+ seat RJs. And why don't you go after UsAir? They already allow 80+ seats. Take a look at APA's proposal to UsAir management. 600 PLUS 69+ seat RJs! That's what the PILOTS are offering!! You're barking up the wrong tree.

To be fair 80, the EMB190's are configured to 100 seats. But the CRJ900's and EMB170's being operated by regionals are configured to 80+ seats.

Good points Johnso, we have enough issues to work on in-house without having to hear from our peer group when they cannot clean their own. The scope provisions from this TA are positive and not perfect by a longshot. We do have a responsibility to take a stand for our group as well as others with respect to RJ's and we did (some say not enough) DCI is shrinking period. All my peers at the other majors and legacies wish they had what we have and where we are headed when they evaluate their current positions.
