Start sending emails to current Jet blue pilots encouraging them to visit Africa for cheap gold.
You'll be in class before you know it.

Sorry for the poolies. Pretty awesome though that there have been no furloughs. Does anyone know if there have ever been any furloughs at JB?

There have never been furloughs at JetBlue... but there has never been a need to furlough at JetBlue, despite what management likes to say. They had a leave of absense program in '08 (or was it '07?). However, our bid divisors were not any lower then they were this past May.

When I heard about the latest system bid, I sent an e-mail to the pilot they've got keeping us poolies informed. He pretty much told me that there wasn't good news to be had for a while. After the end of the year at the earliest likely. As always, this stands to change at a moments notice, etc, etc, but I'm settling in for a long wait myself. It'll be nice when it gets here, but I'm not gonna stress myself out over it or keep staring at the phone. I don't think it'll be summer of next year before there are classes, though. With a/c deliveries still rolling in, that seems an awful long time to wait to start running classes.
