Looks like UAL may be hiring by the end of the year to the s-CA side. Still a lot of moving parts to get through.

Um...if they were opposed to the "B" scale, then why didn't they just get hired at Northwest or Delta from the beginning and get full pay?

Oh, wait.... they weren't hired at mainline for whatever reason. Not enough experience? Some other reason, perhaps?

So I guess it's not really a "B" scale, is it.

Seriously?! That's your argument?

From the information on this thread:

NWA started compass and hired the pilots to flow up to "mainline."

NWA Pilots allowed this to happen instead of getting those aircraft under their contract.

Compass pilots went through a "mainline" interview.

Those airplanes are flown at a cheaper rate than if they were a "mainline" equipment buy pilots that were hired by NWA and have a mainline position when available at Delta.

YES, "B scale."

Cheers,

PtP

What about L-UAL, will they recall soon? If /when they do, those that went to the CAL side, will they be able to leave & come back to the UAL side?

Also, w/parking 757 & bringing on 737 to the CAL side, will L-UAL folk be trained on the 737?

According to the transition agreement, s-UA pilots working at s-CA would be able to leave and take their recall to s-UA position. The issue might be solved if we ever get a JCBA.
Most s-CA so far have been both 737 and 57/67. I haven't heard of any 57 parking on the s-CA side.

Because there is no JCBA the pilots are still operating as seperate groups. l-CAL or l-UA refers to legacy Continental or United(pilots at this point). The s stands for subsidiary CAL or UAL. Again, because no JCBA yet, the pilot groups are still seperate(training, hiring, flying, etc).
