Just when you thought it was over, NWA tries to put it NWA/DAL together again.

True, and Delta is selling, parking, or otherwising disposing of up to 14 MD88's, while continuing to get new CRJ's.
Yes it is pure rumor, but I think you will hear of NWA fleet reductions within a week from now and these will play into the transition agreement.
Delta already announced their reductions, so I'm not saying we are any better. So did NWA but they beat DAL to the punch. We are going down to 68 dc9s by the end of the year.fwiw

What is happening as far as A330's or whatever growth NWA has going on? We don't know much about that. From what i understand, they want more 330's but i dont know if they have just decided to wait on the 787 instead of ordering more 330's or not though. I do know they have added a few new routes from the west coast though. One that comes to mind is Portland, Oregon to AMS.
~ not rumor ~
Delta is continuing with 777 advance entitlements in May.

It is a little different this time. There is more pressure from people with bigger sticks that either union.
It will get done if they want it to get done. If the costs are to much to make the merger happen it will not. I would guess that we will be put on a very short time line to get things done. Not sure if we are there yet, but I feel it may be coming.

Yeah, it's just funny because we are way past the so-called deadline to get the deal done this year. Who knows?

Actually status quo smells pretty good at the Delta property. Might be the aroma from the coolaid, but the interiors of the new 777-200LR's smell good. Another 777 bid in May has been confirmed.
Not everything at Delta is bad, in fact, most of the activity on the horizon is good. I'm actually a little envious of the 737-700 operation that's coming up. Some really good trips with good block times to fun overnights. Hopefully they will not be of the 9 hour variety like the MD88's Mexico and Caribbean overnights.

And they are typing our FO's in the 73N now. What is that for. 10 hr turns? God I hope not.
You are correct that currently things are good here at DAL. Full planes, fairly happy pilots, and planes on order. Now we all talk about the possibility of a merger and parking of jets, but overall with the summer flying coming up, and bookings not dropping off, things are looking A OK
BTW I talked to crew resources and the May AE is still good. There is still talk of one or two more later in the year as well.
