There is usually a lot more E-jet recruits than CRJ. To me it seems like the focus is more on getting those Ejet spots filled now.

Most of the “long term” pilots reside on the CRJ side

Completely new person here just fishing for some more info...

1) Any recent updates on the training schedule? Still 3-5 months? Particularly interested in the ERJ. Any recent new hires that are going through the process willing to share their schedule and experience would be great. I heard a story of training taking up to 9-10 months (SIM wait time).

2) Also, assuming base is in IAH for a FO in the ERJ... What does the schedule range look like? Now assuming, I would commute SEA-IAH... How doable/dreadful would that be?

Looking for scheduling info starting at training and through reserve and after. Sample schedules would be great. Any info appreciated! Thanks

You are hoping to be based at IAH so you can commute there from SEA? Why? Horizon, Compass, and Skywest all fly the E-175, and they have crew bases in SEA.

That's like asking what Amazon has for sale. SEA-IAH sounds like hell.

That ^^^^^^^^

It isn't impossible, but if a judge sentenced you to it the Supreme Court would over rule him because of constitutional restrictions on cruel and unusual punishment. Doesn't mean you couldn't do it to yourself but again, why?

Wife in Seattle and GF in Houston? That'll be tough on a first year FO salary....

Unless you are moving to IAH, go to SkyWest.

And, our SIM training has never taken 9-10
months. I won’t predict what it is but we have people going through in 5 months recently.

Yes, I understand commuting gets rough. Why Mesa?... Because I'm planning to move that way tentatively, but could be another year or two which could mean commuting for 1-1.5 years.

You will be a Captain here in 1.5 years. Makes sense then.

A December hire, just finish IOE, so that should tell you.
