Most likely no chance at all in corporate as a furloughed 121 pilot. Unless you provide proof of your letter of resignation to the airline along with your application.

Let’s be clear. At the town hall concern was expressed that furloughed united pilots had seat rights to the 175s. JO clarified that it wasn’t the case. No Mesa pilot can be displaced by a united pilot.
Whether it’s right or wrong nothing in the Mesa contract, that Alpa National approved, specifies any preferential hiring order and in fact leaves the hiring explicitly and entirely up to the company.
Clause 1-F spells it out if anyone wants to look it up.

In the same LOA 5.a pilots must be on furlough OR notified of furlough. Next week we will have pilots notified of furlough, that is when this LOA will officially take effect.
but you are correct as of TODAY 7-29-2020 no pilot has been furloughed or notified of furlough.

I don’t really care who the company hires so long as they’re safe. This whole LOA doesn’t make a whole helluva a lot of sense to me though. Especially when you consider regional pay during the time the LOA was signed.
Why would someone want to go make regional pay when you can get a regular job that keeps you at home making the same money? You ha e zero need for experience or currency to go back to your furloughed job when they come calling. You’re literally just taking potential experience from the other regional guys who are trying to get what you’ve got.
As to why you’ve gotten some of the replies that you have, I have a theory about it. Reading your posts reads like a mafia guy rolling into a store offering protection while bullying the servers who have no say in what goes on at the store. Just my observations.

this is correct

its not about the Mesa contract or any agreement with the Mesa MEC or ALPA National. This is 100% attached to United’s SCOPE. If you do not comply you do not get to operate as United express. This is way above the pay grade of anyone on this board. This LOA is most likely included somewhere in the operational contract between United and Mesa.
in normal times Mesa can hire whoever they want.

as far as the mafia comment? If people want to get ****ed at the truth that’s not my fault. Raise your hand if you are at a United Express operator and new about this LOA before March......I’ll be honest with you I didn’t even know it existed until our MEC mentioned it. part of this forum is about gaining information whether you like that information is up to you.

Everybody *****es about the reserve rules. Ours are better than at least 3 other regionals. We get per diem and time credit on ready.

I don't think you have thought this through. Your muscle flexing over scope will actually reduce the number of regional jobs available for you to try and poach. You and your colleagues at the REAL airline are at the back of the line for a table that will get smaller. Go ahead and apply and explain in the interview that you are entitled to a job because you are a REAL pilot. You want the job but only because its the last resort. See how that works out for you.

This is what I hear coming outta this thread. Good to know we’re your last choice though. I haven’t flown with a guy constantly *****ing the whole time in a while, so flying with you might be a change of pace.
