Hello fellow aviators, as a new hire into Mesa, I am seeing on here to expect about 10-12 month wait for training. I’m trying to read all the threads to see why the delay. Is it because of sim availability? I’m sure there are many factors, but what is or are the key players for the lengthy wait? The recruiter informed me that they have a new sim becoming available in January that will result in a 3 month delay for new hires. Are they just telling me that? Thank you!

Last I heard was 5-6 months in the E-Jet side from a buddy who just finished his systems class but like you, I'm new as well and I realize there are too many factors affecting these delays. Including other regional companies that operate the E175 calling dibs on these simulators.

I am hoping it is better than instructing in a C172, but you guys have been there done that, at least you said they don't treat you like high schoolers so that has to be a plus for an old fart like me.
