Mesa reported over 3 millions in net income, where most other airlines reported tremendous losses.

Those earnings were achieved with 30 millions cares act support. Mesa is about to report another quarter. Expect to see even greater net income, as 61 million cares act payroll support will be added to that quarter. Flying HAS way increased compared to the previous quarter.

Mesa CAN NOT FURLOUGH unless the cares act money is depleted.

Vote NO!!!
The company used 43m in last quarter employee cost should not have gone up (but down) so they should use 43m this quarter leaving at least 6.5m.

They can't furlough (legally) until mid October. October 1st is not the dead line. We can negotiate something better then what we got put in front of us.

I think they will do it all at once. It will be a little messy, and the amount of reserves will be higher because the manning ratios will be a little messed up. IAD being the junior FO base, so I would suspect there will be a lot of PHX and DFW FO’s sitting reserve there. SDF coverage will be a lot less important. I wouldn’t be surprised if they temporarily closed the base to pilots and FA’s.

They will probably throw the displacement bid out at the same time as the furlough information for those affected. If I was a guy who thought I was going to get displaced, I’d update my bid right now. They will probably do a 24hr window. If your not by a computer you might get screwed. These are obviously my thoughts, so Leader of the Babysharks might get all butt hurt. This is a forum, get over yourself.

If I would have upgraded..I would be downgraded anyway yeah?!

Literally every other airline is doing deals for furlough mitigation. All the no concessions til furlough people..are in fact making concessions to save their jobs and their coworkers jobs. This is our deal. Mesa pilots going to be the only one to hold their company to the fire? Great way to screw the people who are left..because they won’t be caring about 8 hours pay when they’re now sitting ready reserve instead of holding a line. Or commuting across the country to sit reserve.

They’re going to furlough anyway..but the numbers are lies? Which is it. No voters seem to be confused!
It’s not a crack at you, but you have to agree. You don’t need the money, otherwise you would have upgraded. You would rather be based in PHX as an FO line holder than go to Dallas as a CA on reserve. It’s ok, but you are a hobby pilot. You got some other means of income, that’s fine. Just own it. Some of us this is our only means of survival.

Were you on the calls? Apparently the money goes straight to our partners and then paid back as normal through our block hours..so technically it was gone as soon as they got it?...sounds like a loophole.

I’m all for a better deal..but that’s a big bluff with JO..and if there is nothing else..the stakes are too high..

The Company is planning to downgrade less than half those furloughed. Your estimate is the other direction.
We will just have to see there Leader of the Babysharks. If I’m wrong, I’m wrong. But! I own my mistakes. This estimate is based on Mesa manning methodology, and current efficiencies in utilization of pilots. You may think you know what you are talking about, but let’s hear you say the quantity of downgrades and furloughs. Put your money where your mouth is there expert.

I like you. Keep up the good work. Just vote yes and hope half of these pilots either are too junior or can’t figure out how to vote since they clearly don’t use their brains.

Like I said..enough with the hobby pilot stuff. Get new material. This is my source of income now. That’s what matters. It’s also my health insurance now. And my travel benefits now. All of which I want to keep! Setting myself up in life prior to what I do now..doesn’t mean I’m cool with losing what I have now. Otherwise..I wouldn’t have done this in the first place. You say none of this is personal..so stop making it personal. Grow up..and let people talk through ideas here. I’ve seen your other posts in other airlines’ threads. Nobody likes you..do they. Aren’t you tired? Ready to give it a rest? Let’s not forget the most important thing here..YOU DON’T EVEN HAVE THE RIGHT TO VOTE.

Already voted yes! Yeah..propjob is pretty vocal but is in fact too junior to vote..which I’m guessing is what has him all fired up. I wish there was a competency test to vote. Some of these guys just don’t seem to get it.
