Not saying the outcome would have been any different, but out of the people who did vote it came down to roughly 50 people voting yes over no.

I respect the outcome but now we see what happens in Dec.
So if pilots get furloughed in January, you're suggesting that this did nothing positive for those pilots by keeping them on 3 more months? I'm not following on that logic. Sure they may be furloughed if it doesnt get passed again (by either side), but how does that rationalize whether or not it was worth passing this time?

I agree with each pilot having a vote, and I'm not saying this SHOULD or SHOULD NOT have passed... but some of the logic on these message boards (for or against) is pretty illogical.

Seems like win for anyone who was wanting to look for a seasonal job anyway... plus if one doesnt pan out, they still have this one for the next 3 months if they want to make 68 hours instead of the 20 VLOA hours.
Dude. That’s logical and reasonable. What are you doing here?

I dont know where you’re getting that I said it did nothing for the guys that would have been furloughed. Im more worried about the aftermath of Dec not being a pilot vote, the company asking for deeper concessions, or using this as leverage come July for the new contract. Not saying any of that will happen, but now its a wait a see how this plays out. My position was never against the people at the bottom.

“What do you think about the new contract...”

”oh yeah that piece of ****, not like the company will honor it anyway. Section 29 bubadh WORK WORK WORK WORK... AND I VOTED NO”

Cant you claim unemployment for reduced pay to cover what was lost? At least in Texas it pretty sure you can. For FOs it’s $300 lost/month. It’s always worth a look.

I voted yes in hopes that the MOU acts as a bridge between Oct 1 and a PSP extension/ industry recovery. We don’t need a full recovery, maybe just a return to %75 ish. Barring a miracle, no PSP extension is coming anytime soon. If this MOU needs an extension beyond December, I don’t see it getting passed again.

Not that you we’re asking me but I’m going to put my two cents in....for me it’s QOL...sitting ready 4 days in a row, not flying making peanuts. Away from the family not flying, not working towards anything. This is just my situation/mindset anyway....just doesn’t add up. I can fly corporate and QOL goes way up. It has just taken a toll....I’ll fall on the “grenade” to save a job for someone else.

There has been a PSP extension proposed. In writing.
