Once again..I hear you, man..this isn’t gonna affect me like it will some..but I’m still for the underdog..I truly believe in karma..and I also want to be able to sleep at night.

Almost 500 furloughs will affect almost everyone. More people are starting to see that now.

Ahhh, you get it. Pilots will vote in their own self-interest. We saw that with the last contract when Houston pushed the contract through because it protected their seniority on the ejet. It's once again coming up with the thought of crj pilots coming over....which is why JO will never furlough the amount he's threatening (not with 20 more ejets coming and the 700's most likely staying).

Whatever the Union and the company come up with for concessions, it WILL go out to the pilots to vote (a vote can happen very quickly if need be). We'll see if the APC commentators reflect the real pilots after a vote.

Nobody cares about cadets. You’re not on the seniority list and don’t contribute to the airline. Cadet programs should be immediately ended at all carriers and the money spent on them should be put towards cost savings for the actual pilots who have jobs. The market now has pilots. SJS kids fresh out of UND are no longer a hot commodity.

I don't understand why you think it'll go out for a vote. A vote would be great, but it's not required by our contract.

The MEC took a lot of flack for voting in the mou earlier this year for reduced credit (that wasn't used once the cares act was voted in). They won't do that again, it'll go out for vote. You're rep will back this up.

It costs virtually nothing to maintain a cadet program. They keep the CJO contingent on whether the company is hiring and take away any bonus money (I believe every carrier has already don’t that). Where it gets tricky is if they make the cadets pay anything back. Which is a valid concern for them because none of this is their doing.

Pretty sure a few months ago we were all complaining about not having enough pilots so relax before you need a Special Issuance. Kid was just asking a question
