The company wrote the MOU by the way, not the MEC. Did anyone notice the time of the voting closing is the same as the closing time for bidding. Coincidence I think not.

If the company wanted to keep its end of the bargain it wouldn’t be asking for concessions. This is business. I’m here to get the maximum out of my situation just like the company is. We are just on two different ends of the spectrum.

Not everybody wants to live on poverty wages in a crashpad for the next couple of month.

And mj if you seriously think that is "poverty wages" for your own good get a real job for a couple of months. You sound like someone born with the silver spoon here.

I love having a quality of life more than I love aviation. A shinny jet isn’t going to pay for my healthcare or retirement.
How many credits are you projecting this month at Mesa? Didn’t see you speak up about my 90+ hr guys during COVID comment. Are you one of them? Enjoying that gravy train while all of us with less seniority suffer? I can see why you want the FO’s to stay under you, makes sense that you would put out this propaganda. Right to a line they said, mainline in 3 years they said. Now it’s, guys stay so I can hold a line and not face downgrade. You dump on the FO’s and allow them to get treated unfairly, you suffer the consequences. I’m out of here soon enough once the furlough hits. FEDEX here I come. When the company has enough business to support me flying 76hrs a month, I’ll come back to the below minimum wage pay. Until then, boxes for me.
Anyone else notice CREWPAY hasn’t been updated this month? Probably the company up to something where they screw us out of money before furlough.

No it’s a simple fact. The company is going to save money on pilot salaries one way or another. Some naively believe that if the MOU is voted down that the company can’t afford the training churn or it or can’t stomach a furlough. That’s wrong thinking. The company will save money one way or another with or without our cooperation. The company will not lose.
Fact!!!
J.O. doesn't want to downgrade, otherwise he would have done so already.
J.O. doesn't want to Furlough, otherwise those displacement bids would have been initiated already.
J.O doesn't want to pay for cross training.
End Poverty Wages! Vote NO!

Accepting all the VLOA comes at a cost with flying currency. They didn’t think through how the 3 landings in 90 days was going to play in with VLOA. People going in and out of currency. Junior pilots not getting any flying on reserve while senior guys still hitting 90 credits during the pandemic. I know 3 dudes still bringing in over 90 credits. Reserve language stays the same, the junior guys get hit the hardest.
Reserves can’t take open time unless it’s during an incentive period. Never break guarantee and next to no per diem.
Guys who are getting 60 credit hour lines right now, still get paid 76 credits, and add that the open time on top of the 76 credits. So a guy who has a line of 60 hours, starts at a baseline of 76 Credits with 18 days off. This line holder picks up an 18 hr trip 3 day trip because their 60 hr line has 18 days off. They are now at 94 credits, with 15 days off.
This is happening right now in the month of August.
It’s a win win for the senior guys right now. Junior pilots on reserve are suffering.

This month, I'm at 106 hours credit, flying only 67. That's without any cancellation.
