That statement only refers to the displacing of a pilot if you are displaced. You can displace another pilot if you have already been displaced based on seniority. Only “or” used in the whole section.

But, lets assume that the contract is written correctly with no loopholes. Do you really trust the guy that had said when we were understaffed and underpaid, “Why should I pay pilots more, if I have more wanting to come through our doors.”
This guy will take money from the pilot group during good times and bad

Vote NO
Wait...this MOU is only going to take $ 300 a month from you guys and you want to vote it down? Shoot. I’m out $750 and I still want to protect other people’s jobs and livelihoods. Some of you want to whine about how 8 hours is going to break the bank. Cut back on your spending. Don’t order Uber eats. Pack lunches for trips. There are many things all of you “adults” can do to help out others that got into this industry at less fortunate times. Propellere? If you’re so negative and hate our ceo our mec and your fellow pilots just leave. If 8 hours is the deciding factor to go deliver boxes then go. I guarantee you probably got into this career cause you heard flight attendants are hot. And since they haven’t looked twice at you, you figured you’d get more love and attention from that amazon cardboard box grazing your fingers. Get outta here. You’re immature and a stain in the Mesa workplace.

Im curious why do it only for those specific days? Why not month-to-month?

1. Fridays are the busiest days for us departure wise. 2. AA implements their schedule changes on the first or second Wednesday of the month and it actually doesn't change much, if indeed at all, week to week for the rest of the month. Friday vs Saturday vs Wednesday yes, but Friday vs Friday, within the same month, no. So I chose a representative day when we are flying at our peak in both months. 3 I don't have the time to go day by day and do all that math.

So to sum up I deliberately chose a Friday in the middle of the month on both months to make it as fair as possible. Its as far away from the monthly schedule changes as possible. It's also the third Friday of the month in both months.

As I appreciate your elaboration it does skew the numbers in the favor of voting yes. Its like the polls saying Biden is going to win the election but polling only in CA bc it has the biggest population.

Ok here is the last Thursday of the month on the AA side only.

DFW
Sep 24th-70
Oct 29th-46
A 34.3% reduction in daily departures

PHX
Sep 24th-27
Oct 29th-21
A 22.3% reduction

DFW + PHX
Sep 24th-97
Oct 29th-67
A 31% reduction.

Changed dates for you and the story is even worse.
