It helps the guys sitting reserve to be in Dulles. Better sitting there collecting a free hotel and per diem, than short call in base as a commuter. Let the company spend more money. I think the company is worried no one will bid into the IAD base and they will have to pay to relocate everyone over. There is a clause about paying out people’s rental agreements in there.

Displacement per contract will also let you know status equipment and domicile.
Just because displacement and status are in the same location in contract doesn't mean they are the same
Side note
They could also allow voluntary displacement
The union didn't have to send this MOU for a vote but they did to let the pilots decide there fate. Effectively leaving them from any blame.

please debunk my comment there genius. If you ask the 737 pilots to lose 8 credits, they will vote no. Those pilots are so senior the furlough does not displace them, therefore why would the say yes, take 8 credits from me. If they get excluded, than they will want to “help” the company in return by voting “yes” even though they will not be affected. They is why they are excluded in the MOU. Extra votes for “yes”

I have a degree and a decade of experience outside aviation..so I’ll be fine..I’m just not an *********. This is a good deal. Baby sharks, Cobra Kai...the lack of professionalism and maturity of the group is disappointing. This thread started off as a pretty good discussion of what’s happening at our company, it is worthless now.
