I don’t know why you guys keep saying this place is dying, United has put all their golden eggs in our basket, we are the chosen regional and will rise to greatness once again, only a fool would jump off this sinking ship and give up their place on this seniority list. We are days away from a yes on this new TA and the ship will be righted once again with our fearless leader at the helm. Great things are coming or United wouldn’t be postering mesa Airlines as their chosen operator in every jetbridge. Look closer at those posters in the jetbridge Mesa is still operating in 2026! Dig your feet in hold your spot in the seniority list you don’t want to have to come crawling back below all the 250hr guys to come fly the snazzy electric planes.

I’m glad common sense prevailed here. I hope that between the miserable attrition rates, the lack of any substantial recruitment, and a resounding no on the TA, management will actually stop to reflect on the kind of basic quality of life and compensation measures necessary to keep this airline from going under. And I hope they come to their senses quickly.

I think that's a win for the pilot group. And with 36 bucks an hour, you can't attract anyone to come to you and/or stay with you. Curious what the new offer will be over 48 bucks. I don't think they'll ever offer 60 or so at Mesa but 52 maybe and other QoL improvements?

So what happens now? Do pilots still get stuck at 36/hr and have to wait another year or two before another vote is in place?
Or do current pilots get a temporary pay rise to 48/hr until something new is worked out

If that’s the case Mesa won’t be here in a year or two. Last attrition I heard was 5% of the pilot group a couple of months ago. Haven’t seen anything new since then but I would imagine those numbers will hit terminal velocity if the pilot group thinks the process is going to drag on for a year.
The union is acting like this takes a long time. Maybe normally but that’s ridiculous under the circumstances. Management knows exactly what the status quo is right now. They could counter with something reasonable this week and we could vote within a month if that’s what they want.
We’ll see how motivated they are to make a deal. They’ve got a lot more accurate information than us average line pilots about the attrition, recruitment and training numbers and they’re probably also very aware that there are a ton of pilots who already have training dates and haven’t put in their two weeks’. Not to mention the number of pilots waiting on training dates who are probably already at another airline already. If that’s not motivation to come to the table with something serious I don’t know what is.
