I don’t know if they’re on the take or just got completely bamboozled, and I’m not sure which is worse. Either way we got totally outclassed at the table. The fact they they’re advertising the iPad stipend for an item we have to buy as part of the per diem is mind boggling. If you see a rep please tell them to take an adult with them the next time they buy a car.

So true about the Ipad. For an item every other company gives to pilots. Pretty sure the price has gone up on those too! They know they got beat and just want us to vote yes so they don’t have to start over. Disgusted all the way around. Oh well. We’ll all just leave.

At least we/us/it/they get to take our iPads home with us when we park the last one in the desert
and 3 cents per hour (72cents a day) is more than enough per diem for a now $17 chic fil a sammich that we Can eat off our iPads as a tray since that’s been mathed into your per diem

Not that low per diem is OK, but they won't raise it much because of the flight attendants me too clause. But there's no excuse for why they didn't raise the iPad allowance to get around it like before.

Good you brought that up, they sent another FAQ email and this is a question there, it says active members in good standing as of June 14, 2022 are eligible to vote. It does sound like new hires up until that date are included.

But seriously, why wouldn't we want to vote YES and get a class date with United like next month... haha! Now that everyone can go as long as you have your time served at MESA and not the UAX side!!! hmm.. sounds like a YES take the money and run haha

They also have a lot of things we don’t.
Skywest offers uniform, medical, profit sharing bonuses, min day credit, duty rig, immediate 401(k) vesting, $2 per diem, 130% pay over 87 hours, guaranteed interview with Delta/United/Alaska/SWA.
Republic also has a trip rig, duty rig, min day credit, uniform/shoe/luggage/medical allowance, immediate 401(k) vesting, $2.15 per diem/2.70 international (which doesn’t include an iPad stipend since the iPad is supplied), no junior manning, 12 days off, travel on Delta/American/United, and no ready reserve.
Unfortunately JO knows everybody’s just going to look at the final numbers on the payscale and vote based totally on that. A duty rig, trip rig, and min day credit would provide hours more pay per month with the inefficient schedules we fly here.

Its a really good thing new hires don’t vote. At a new airline now who’s starting negotiations. Problems is, our current contract is phenomenal, and coming from mesa, I had no idea what a good contract looks like. Seriously y’all would **** a brick if you saw other airline contracts. From what I’m hearing, you guys need to get rid of the reps, they’re obviously in with the company.
