Dude, that’s the only reason I keep coming back here. I’ve build this image of who he is in my head. His previous posts say he was in training at envoy in early 2021, my guess is he failed there, went to Mesa, and can’t leave for whatever reason. Maybe he’s 64 1/2 years old and needs every last dime he can get before retirement. I just get my popcorn ready and enjoy the show he puts on.

So your theory is that he’s being serious? I take all his posts as satire. If he’s actually being genuine then…ouch.

I just enjoy nonsensical theories and conspiracies. But honestly, is it that hard to believe he’s genuine? Unfortunately a lot of people like him exist.

It's unfair to compare Mesa to the wholly owned airlines. Those are BASICALLY mainline now. This contract is the first step toward just assimilating them.

That said, if that doesn't happen, then you need to compare to:

Skywest and Republic primarily - multiple carrier airlines.

GoJet, Commutair and Horizon next.

Given that comparison and Mesa Culture this isn't that bad a deal.

Mesa will survive. There's more going on here than just UA and AA.

Exactly they came up short to contracts other airlines have been on for years! And last contract they said they didn’t have the money. The financials haven’t changed much now they suddenly found a golden bucket to share. JO spits in your face and Pangolin asks for more. I’m starting to think Pangolin is CG or one of those other PHX based MEC guys

We are all resounding “no” here except for you and coughdrop. Oh and CG of course. If you think Skywest and Republic won’t follow with a major raise now you’re mistaken- and that still isn’t comparing apples to apples because the qol elsewhere FAR exceeds the qol here. Then we will once again be left with a laughable contract. I guess then at least we would deserve our reputation, right! I don’t expect 90$ an hour but 48$ isn’t even close. If they had improved the actual healthcare..maybe..but you can’t afford 500$ Coming off your check a month on 48$/hr. Better scheduling? Nope. Better hotels? Nope. Better anything? Nope. JO needs to do better. He knows it or he wouldn’t be sitting down with CG after the WO info came out when they walked away from the table just months ago. Mesa is in major trouble. It’s pretty clear we can’t attract or keep people already and now it will be worse.
