Agree 100%. If people would stop picking up the endless open time it would help. The fact that literally everyone is leaving doesn’t seem to be making them feel the pressure enough!

That’s not possible! It takes months of polling and rigorous negotiations to raise the pay!!!!! The company can’t just decide to pay their employees competitively and then just do it!

And along those lines, how interesting that months ago the company just left the union sitting at the table and didn’t even show up and suddenly they’re having a meeting the day after the AAWO deals go through. If only they didn’t have those pesky razor thin margins I’m sure JO would be happy to work it out!

Yeah sorry C, nice email but we’re still a hard no. JO has always had LOTS of ideas. If it isn’t in writing it isn’t happening. The company WILL do better or they’re done. And they damn well know it.

Pretty sick of the scare tactics too. 20 months to renegotiate? They cut our pay immediately during covid. Is there not the flip side to increase it temporarily until a new agreement is reached? A year..20 months..the airline won’t exist in 6 months!

Guess that’s one way to get rid of the shortage. 1000 )or whatever we actually have left) pilots on the street will change things!

What a pathetic groveling email from C.G. there. I’m sorry but good lord what level of JO propaganda was that? No vote this piece of trash and I guarantee you they’ll have a new agreement in less then 3 weeks. That’s a guarantee. JO knows it’s get the pilot group to sign a competitive contract or close, those are his two choices. You vote no and he will up that pay instantly rather then lose his company. Either the pay goes up or Mesa closes shop, no ifs ands or buts.

Let me spell this out for you, if you no vote this it will not take 10 months to “renegotiate“ the company will have a handful of months MAX to put something together or face the end of the company. And when faced with the end of his company JO will move faster then you’ve ever seen him squirm to save it.

What C.G. Doesn’t seem to understand is the market just changed, and it changed in a big way.

Yep. The only people that will come to Mesa are those waiting on a training date somewhere else. They’ll collect their min guarantee while waiting endlessly to even start here and be gone before they ever see the line. Wake up JO. You’re done.

Another article on the pay raises at Piedmont and Envoy:

https://thepointsguy.com/news/envoy-...J3v7zMLFBYxTNI

Rumor mill says PSA is just haggling over some other points before getting on board.

Those of you saying vote yes for the TA, how in the hell will Mesa get new pilots when the AA wholly owned have upped 1st year F/O pay to $90/hr? Granted it's for 2 years and could be changed but still. And I'll bet the other legacy WO airlines will have to stay competitive.
If you were a Mesa recruiter what would you say to get pilots to come to Mesa?

I'm a LAMA member and JO hasn't changed in the 17 years since I left.
