THE COMPANY LIES.

Your MEC negotiations team has to present an honest, and reasonable face on behalf of the pilot group. The company has zero responsibility to be truthful, honest or compassionate. The negotiators do the best they can and are constrained by their need to act professionally and legally in accordance with the RLA; the company only cares about how to profit by misdirection and untruth.

Vote for the TA or not, I no longer have a dog in this fight, but I’ve seen the sausage being made and had them lie to my face.

For what its worth this is why I’m trying to really avoid slamming the union. I honestly believe at the end of the day that most if not all of the neg reps have the interests of the pilot group in mind. Unfortunately they got outdid.

$90 starting pay at Envoy and they come at us with just over 50%. I can only laugh..or cry. Like I said, do better (way better) or just close the doors now. This ship is sinking (basically sunk) if this passes. Nobody will come or stay here.

Other airlines are taking people with failures and skeletons now. Mesa is no longer the last hope for these people and there won’t be a steady flow coming in. Other airlines are paying for prior 121 experience so current pilots not wanting to lose longevity pay have no reason not to abandon ship. We lost so much west coast flying to our competition that the west coast base no longer draws people. We could stop paying new hires min guarantee to stay in a hotel for a YEAR and they would find money to pay current pilots. The company better rethink it’s position. Quickly.

Envoys now goes to 2029.

Envoy jump is temporary. 2 years. Then it goes back to current rates. And it goes to 2029. More interesting is ca pay at 750 hours.

Mesa doesn’t have the deep pockets that rhe Wholly owned have. Vote no and we lose money until we get a marginally higher offer and it’ll take years to make that money back.

either way it goes - last one out turn off the lights.

Yes there is. Money. They don’t have it. They can’t just raise the rates they charge AA and UA - contracts you know. On your way out a no vote only screws those still here. Don’t be a dick. Just abstain.

no means - I don’t want a raise. I am happy to
continue at sub standard wages while you renegotiate for a pittance more. It’ll take years to make that up. You don’t screw the mec. You don’t screw the company. You just screw your self.

if the new contract doesn’t stem the tide the company will come to the union with more. It’s what AA has done.

No vote means I’m trying to leave this place better for those behind me.

No vote means while I don’t plan on staying here, it could and has happened where people stay where they don’t want to.

No vote means I’m demanding what I’m worth, and what others around me are worth.

No vote means I’m not in support of abrogating seniority.

No vote means I don’t accept other pilots flying planes that Mesa owns for rates better than us.

not entirely true - envoy and piedmont reciebed base raises. First year FO went up from 52 to 60, second year FO went up to 67. These are decent pay hikes. THEN, they receive 150 percent of base pay for, at minimum, the next two years. It could be extended, it may not be. If you are at captain level and on property for six years and one day and haven’t yet been offered a flow, you automatically get bumped to 20 year captain pay.

so, while the huge amazing premium pay is temporary, they don’t revert to the original rates. There were some improvements to the base pay.
