So glad those rates came out prior to the vote for anybody out there who’s still somehow confused about exactly how big a turd the MEC dropped on the table.

Don’t buy into the hurry and approve the steaming turd, just wait a week and the other aviate carriers will match the aa rates…. The ta becomes more laughable by the day

Seriously. Why would anyone buy into the idea that the company would drag negotiations out another year while they bleed 5% or more of their pilots each month. “ACT NOW! SUPPLIES ARE LIMITED!” Mesa pilots have no idea what happens when you vote no because they’ve never tried it. You guys ever try to cancel your cable? Same principle. Just say no and watch what happens.

This is why you need to vote yes. Stop saving management from themselves.

If all of y’all aren’t immediately applying at an AA wholly owned, there’s no hope for you. Go get paid almost triple what you are now while waiting on a permanent place.

The company position in negotiations is “we have no control over scheduling” so —> no trip/duty rigs

The company position is “our CPA margins are thin” —> so no raises beyond industry lowest

The company position is “we will include goodies in the PWA you want” —-> while never planning to deliver them, see: Aggressive Pickup

The company position is “we want you on a new vacation system” —-> they lied about what they were giving pilots

THE COMPANY LIES.

Your MEC negotiations team has to present an honest, and reasonable face on behalf of the pilot group. The company has zero responsibility to be truthful, honest or compassionate. The negotiators do the best they can and are constrained by their need to act professionally and legally in accordance with the RLA; the company only cares about how to profit by misdirection and untruth.

Vote for the TA or not, I no longer have a dog in this fight, but I’ve seen the sausage being made and had them lie to my face.

It’s fitting that my last act as a Mesa pilot will be to no vote this abomination of a TA. Best of luck to all of you. Remember there’s no reason that Mesa can not match Envoys rates.
