I'll say this to you and everyone else who keeps on complaining. If it sucks so bad? Then find another job or profession!!!

It's worse to be at a regional that's stagnant and shrinking and full of 50-seaters, even they have a better contract and better payrates.

I've spent the majority of the last decade flying for two different regionals, and have good friends scattered around the industry, and the above sentence seems to be the consensus.

I'm sure Mesa will eventually reach a point where the projected near-term bump in seniority isn't worth the slightly reduced payrates vs. a stagnant, dying airline like Air Whiskey/Eagle (and we might be there already for new hires now for all I know), but you simply cannot compare payrates/contract terms at a stagnant airline to payrates/contract terms at one that is growing like crazy--it's a subjective determination based on when you were hired and where you live.

I'll be racking up CA pay for YEARS at Mesa while I would've otherwise been capped on 4th year FO pay at Endeavor (based in JFK) INDEFINITELY. I know this won't be true for everyone hired recently, but it's true for me and I do not regret coming here at all.

Suckville?

Actually I don't see the contract violated repeatedly here. I don't get overly abused when I bid RSV, I don't get constantly reassigned like I did at RAH when I have a line.

You make these assumptions without even being a current employee, that's hilarious!

And if one is going to a regional to make the most money money, you're wrong, this is the one to go to right now. No one on the list will see 3rd year FO pay as they will be CA by year 3. Especially soon to be guaranteed after this next batch of 20 aircraft is announced.

Don't think I'm trying to sugarcoat it, this isn't Delta.

But at the same time this is way better than my only comparison: RAH.

There's cancelation pay, we are rapidly expanding, guys are sitting reserve as little as zero or one month in certain bases. All bases can be held out of training. We have only large RJs. We have just extended our contracts with our mainline partners to 2019 and 2021. We currently have a 16 month upgrade to the CRJ.

Like I said this isn't delta, but all things considered your spewing of hate is off base.

Nice try bud. There's no spewing of hate and I'm pretty sure I said this applies to most regionals and not just Mesa but you fan boys keep on doing the dirty work for JO and keep defending that industry leading contract! I'm really starting to thing that you either work in recruitment or as JO's personal assistant....
There's a reason Mesa gets these contracts and it's not a good one, they are the cheapest/lowest bidder in large part because of cheap labor!

As long as you got yours right?! Screw the rest of the industry!! What happens to those who don't get the quick upgrade? What kind of pay and work rules do they get to endure for years?

Also, I cannot seem to find the whole dual suction mount kit on Amazon. Anyone have a link? I see the mini, does anyone have an opinion as to which is better?
No case fits with the approved mounts, the holder clips directly on to the ipad.

At what point did anyone say we had a good contract or that we think anyone should come here? Reporting the facts doesn't make you a fanboy, it makes you a realist. Just because things are on the upswing doesn't mean mesa isn't a regional airline.

FYI you stated this in another forum:

I'm not trying to come after you, I just want you to realize the hilarity of your statements.
Both statements are true. The only thing hilarious is my expectations.

The reason would also point to the mainline partners.

I put a lot of thought into this, but I think it is unfair to ask an individual pilot to fall on his sword for the collective whole of the regional industry. These choices I have made and many others will influence the time we spend here vs a major. That's hundreds of thousands of dollars in earning potential, QOL, seniority at a major, etc.

So I ask, how can you ask an individual to give all that up, just to stay at a stagnant regional for years in the right seat so you can feel better?
