Reasonably attractive base options as well.

Completely agree. The bases are nice and training is very good if this is your first time in a jet.

Not to mention the training is so easy that a blind deaf and dumb monkey could pass.

I don't get you - you're a August 2014 hire - so you just came to Mesa five months ago, yet you ask a question about how will Mesa get new hires like a 12 year CA who is out of touch with the new hire crowd.

Well, why did YOU come here? Why did YOUR class mates come here.

If your ****ed that people keep coming here, you mister 5-month'r are part of the problem!

Not to mention your incoherent rambling about not flying on reserve, which if you know the slightest thing about how an airline works - is a GOOD thing. Wait til you're a line holder and want to drop or swap stuff. Lots of RSVs is a GOOD thing - your request will be approved.

YOU are in the base you wanted within five months of being hired. (PHX) When I was hired you had to be here atleast 8 years to hold PHX as an FO. It took me almost a year to get the base I wanted at RAH.

Why don't you quit, go to RAH or G7 or XJT, come back, then report to us what it's like to be at a REAL sh*tty airline with zero movement on the FO side. Where it takes 12-18 months just to get off FO RSV - not to upgrade..

Your complaints come across as a whiny ignorant FNG who is out of touch with what your peers in this industry are dealing with.

Talked to an Envoy FO who was junp seating on a flight that I was non reving on and he had been there 4 years. Said he is just now barley holding a line. I mean who wants to go do that? Seriously.

Bitter? Maybe 10 years ago but I guess you missed the "water under the bridge" statement so you won't be seeing me crying in my Sapporo here in Tokyo on my layover. And my bias has always been towards my fellow union pilots irrespective of where my wife works.

How does Mesa keep attracting new pilots?
Pilot pay is one of the worst.
Per Diem is the worst.

No per Diem during training.

For my wife it was all about being based in IAH since we live there. There is absolutely no point in commuting to a regional if you don't have to, and she didn't need to go back to work. First choice was XJT as we have lots of friends there and she got an interview offer within hours of submitting her app. Put off the interview for a couple weeks to do some prep. 2 days before the interview XJT announces the parking of a bunch of airplanes, hiring will be brought to a halt soon, and some of our friends got furlough letters out of the training department. The interview process was a downer to say the least with little chance of being based in IAH for some time.

Started looking at other regionals based in IAH which is Mesa, and Skywest. Mesa was more appealing than Skywest for many reasons. Chief among them was the direction Mesa was going since restructuring. Skywest management was busy playing the ASA and XJT pilots against each other while the non-union Skywest pilots were sitting on the sidelines showing no interest in organizing to put an end to the nonsense. No thanks!

That left Mesa and the rest is history as they say.

ALPA at the regional level is a total joke. Just go ahead and post your W2 so you can beat out that other expressjetter as the largest tool on this interwebz.

Mesa is the premier bottom feeder, the fact that it's a union carrier Is just pure comedy.
