EFB's, nine new airplanes by July, and PBS (Preferential Bidding) are all bonuses that don't happen at other places. Line guarantee (no matter what happens, you will get paid at least what you are awarded at the beginning of the month, regardless of what cancels). Is it the greatest place to be...maybe not, but it sure does have some decent qualities.

And the big one..... We will be purchasing American Eagle then parking all the 50 seaters. This won't happen next month or the month after but more like over the next 2-3 years.

I called the 175s last spring. It happened. Let's see.

A lot is happening.
I heard from the girl that does the donkey show in Tijuana. The horse is really a jackass.

I'd work at Starbucks before I work for MESA @ its $22.18/hr. rate.

Fly 850 hours a year
Be away from base around 3,500 hours a year

NET hourly rate probably ends up being around $6.50/hr.

Dream of being a pilot now because once you become one, you'll dream of "Wishing you had taken the job at Starbucks."
Home Improvement- "I don't think so Tim." - YouTube Get past the first year pay. Most knew what they were doin when they took this job. So you can make how much at a major if you make Captain while at Starbucks after x amount of years you make how much?

First year regional FOs are paid almost what they're worth. They have no experience, high turnover and are expensive to train. Yes, the cost of becoming a pilot is high, but that's a separate economy and doesn't have anything to do with pilot pay. Second, third year, etc. is a different story.

I think Mesa has a lot to offer with their current growth. SkyWest, ExpressJet and TransStates don't look as promising right now.
