Minor interjection...

Does anyone know if Mesa pilots have the option to swap bases through ALPA? I know at least one other carrier where two pilots in the same seat/equipment can swap bases while retaining their seniority. It is an ALPA thing, not through the company.

Angry

Seems like every other class at Mesa is CRJ only, followed by CRJ/ERJ. The 3 Feb class is both as well. So the Jan 20 class should be CRJ only, if my guess is correct.

Default No hotel for upgrades?

I've been hearing of something that just doesn't sit well with me. Although this is something I don't need to worry about at this point, it is still wrong. If you are a DFW FO, and you upgrade to the E-Jet, AND you wind up getting the sim in DFW, the company expects you to find your own hotel for a month, since DFW is your base still. What if you are a commuter?
If this is true, just another reason to not come here.

A friend of mine quit because he was awarded a Phx displacement when Clt closed, and subsequently awarded an upgrade. Despite him never flying one flight in Phx, they wouldn't pay for a hotel during upgrade. Nothing new.

When I upgraded in the CRJ, I was PHX based, and I got hosed. It is what it is. That being said...someone who is DFW based on the CRJ, awarded an E175 upgrade in IAH, and the company thinks they should pay their own hotel is a totally different story. There is no E-jet base in Dallas. You have been awarded a seat in different equipment that is not available in your base. The company needs to pay for your hotel. If they argue, get the Union....if they argue....fire the ba$tards! The stuff management is pulling with the referral program, mentor program, etc...is getting out of hand. When is this $hit going to stop!
