I don't count myself as a "stay away" person, but to be fair to them: I don't think it has as much to do with contract negotiations. Things in recent months have changed. Other regionals are paying quite a bit more to first year pilots. It used to be only a couple of bucks an hour difference, now it's close to $10 and more. Other regionals' upgrade times are coming down, reducing the "upgrade carrot" incentive. Mesa will eventually have to do something to be competitive.

Well if the upgrade train stops, what other reason would they have to stay? Honestly, unless you live in Phoenix, I have no idea why anyone would want to work for Mesa until they improve their contract. Even that reason is pretty suspect. How long would it take a new hire to hold PHX?

Bro, we have other domiciles besides PHX and to answer your question: forever. And then after forever you will be on reserve forever. And if the upgrade train does come your way you won't be able to upgrade because you won't have enough 121 time because you will have been on reserve forever.

Anyone know the best way to get an extra set of stripes for a jacket? Company said they don't get them and I'm not too sure which is the best site for ordering. Thanks.

And you assume that someone new here will automatically get PHX? Just because some people got PHX 6 months ago does not mean the same thing for you. I'm not saying you won't ever get PHX I'm just trying to show you how stupid your line of thinking is.

The best piece of advice for anyone wanting PHX would be to move or commute to someplace else. Like you said it ain't happening at Skywest and at Mesa you most likely will have to wait several months, and upgrading into PHX is out of the question for anyone with less than 10 years seniority.

No it is you who doesn't get it. I am saying why would anyone go to Mesa. Someone who lives in Phoenix and doesn't want to commute is the only reason I can fathom. Unless you have any other reasons?

Send your jacket away to M&H they'll add a 4th stripe for a small cost. 15 bucks or something, can't remember.
