USAF voluntary officer recall (including retirees)

For Those Interested
I talked to the recall folks today. Mandatory Separation Dates (Normally 24 years and 28 years from commissioning, for Major and LtCol, respectively) only apply to the Limited and Permanent Recall Programs.
Under those programs, you have to meet promotion boards, and if you hit MSD, you're out.
However, for the Retired Recall Program, MSDs or being passed-over do not apply, as you will never be up for promotion (the good news for TRs: if you enter sanctuary, you will get a regular retirement when you're done with the contract). Age 60/62 still apply. The research done on Title X by nwaf16:
also appears to apply.

After a little more research, it looks like you may be good to 33 years according to this...

I just received my Statement of Intent from AFPC and after it's signed they'll contact you with more information. I called to verify they received my fax and asked how long until the orders are cut. There are many variables (some need revalidation of aero orders, some have medical waivers, how much time needed prior to receiving orders etc) There's been 3 boards and they're trying to have 1 every two weeks. No orders have been cut from any of the boards. I'm just passing along the information I was told.

Has anyone asked or discovered how a retired disability rating is treated for those coming back on active duty? Scenario: Pilot flew until last week of AD service and gets 20% VA disability rating for tinnitus (ringing in ears, but can pass hearing test) and shoulder injury (but, again, can pass all aspects of a flight physical). What's the long and short of it: Able to come back on duty? Assuming answer is yes, then how are disability ratings to be treated upon 2nd retirement (3 years later): automatically keep the 20% VA disability rating, or must retiree resubmit for a new VA claim starting from a blank slate?
