There is no bid and no seniority right to any particular assignment. With the exception of being too large for the phenom, one could end up in almost any fleet based on training availability.

Thanks for the info everyone.

If you have a contract somewhere else and aren't able to start right away, is it better to apply and ask for a later class date or wait to apply?

How long until your contract is up? If you are at or inside of 6 months I would apply.

There is not an aircraft bid for new hires. They will look at your history and match you up in an aircraft that will give you the best chance to make it through training. If you are flying single pilot in a steam gauge twin Cessna, jumping into the latitude or X might be a stretch. If you are currently flying the phenom, it makes sense to put you there. Remember, you will go through a complete aircraft initial at Flight Safety even if you have time in type.

Junior captain was hired in January ‘06. Remember that NetJets did not hire any pilots from August of ‘08 until January ‘15.

Just did the phone interview yesterday and HR is projecting upgrade time 10-13 years.

I’m shocked they were that honest.

Just trying to figure out the schedules at NJ, if you are based at a busy area like NY or LA can you expect to get some more days at home or are you pretty much gone the whole 7 days? Particularly VNY.
