I have a buddy who attended the 12/Expo. He is very much qualified, isn't an idiot, but very much on pins and needles trying to read tea leaves. I've been trying to reassure him that he likely has nothing to worry about, but I get it... this is where he's wanted to be his whole career. He said his sim and interviews went well, now he's checking the website 40 times a day for an update. Yesterday it moved from "we are reviewing all candidates" or something to "3rd Interview", so I got to talk him off the ledge there. It sounds like they will call soon, and I told him you likely can't read much from what the website says. Anyone with first hand experience?
Thanks all, fly safe.
Thanks all, fly safe.
the few people I know that interviewed with me haven’t heard anything yet either.
*^ no first hand experience here though.

Haha that's exactly why I assumed. I think it's likely just a placeholder, though could be potentially good news, as they might just discard if they were done with you. Good luck!

I don't know specifically if they call all the TBNTs before they do the CJOs, but after my expo when I got the CJO, I called a buddy from the expo and he already knew he was a TBNT. I was shocked, but that's the way pilot hiring goes...

Maybe there were 2 candidates with the same name. One pilot got the job and the other didn’t. HR realized they screwed up and told the wrong person they were hired. Very easy for it to happen at any company.

Your surmise does not pass the snicker test. Theoretically possible but highly unlikely. Occam’s razor would say the simplest explanation is the most likely.
They can check databases of police and have a police report in 5 seconds. Addresses, dates of birth, social security number can all reduce duplication. They can give clear, almost certain proof that a major felony conviction matches with the correct individual.
