Haven't seen an update on average FDP amounts in a while (post-Covid), so just want to see if anybody is willing to share where they are in FDP through 8 months of the year (with fleet and avg rotation length as well), or what your average hours flown per rotation are looking like right now.
End of aug paycheck I had $30,722 total in fdp pay. That’s 16 tours of 7/7 in the phenom. No extended days and one tour with a pto day which made it a 6 day tour. 2 of the tours had no fdp as I only flew 5.3 and 6.3 hours on each.

Thanks! And just to be clear, that $30k includes both the direct amount and the retirement fund amount?

When I checked the other day I was around 30k in FDP so far this year. I’m Latitude 7/7 and have used 4 vacations so far, no extended days or extra work. I average around 25 hours a tour. A few have hit close to 40 and a few around 10-12 hours with some tours getting stuck in snow storms. The 12 month look back on my phone shows 430ish hours flown.

I had breakfast yesterday with a group of retired AA Pilots one of whom was now at NetJets. We were talking about how much the pay had changed since I went out on medical in 2017. He told me he flew the Latitude and make $100K in his 1st year. He does the 7&7 with an occasional extra day.

The payscale listed here on APC is just the base salary. All the soft pay offered here at NetJets makes a significant difference. Show before 8am on day 1? Extra pay for that. Fly at night? More pay. Over 12 hours duty, working one of the 12 national holidays, getting home after midnight and of course the FDPP program. Not to mention the money you'll save out on the road with company provided crew meals and the generous contribution to the 401k.
Granted, I'm still in the honeymoon phase but so far I'm very impressed. It is hard work, but with the FDP the harder you work the more you make. What a concept!

Exactly.
Think of the salary listed on APC as just MIN GUARANTEE at an airline.
There are years where FDP is as high as 55+ hours a tour in some fleets OR as low as <10 depending on the way the dice fall. The longer the tour, the more flying you should expect to be eligible to fly. Shorter tours, less FDP.
FDP isn’t bid for (unless you think of aircraft bids. Some fleets fly more) but it just kind of happens as a result of many business related factors (aircraft capabilities, aircraft requested by Owners, days left on tour, current geography/location, MELs, pilot qualifications, scheduling needs for that plane the next day, fatigue monitoring software, ETC).
There are FDP averages posted by the Union on periodic frequency.
Most fleets should be pulling 20-25 hours easily over a 7 day period these days. Some fleets will yield 40-45 over a 10 day tour of you elect to fly more.
That’s basically $2500-$5000 more a tour for showing up and flying. 1/3 to your 401K until the maximum $58,000 limit is achieved or we reset to a new calendar year.

I'm curious about total compensation at the end of everything. Salary is the Min guarantee basically, then factor in FDP on average for a year, and since there are crew meals, per diem (I never count it as actual income) gets to go into your pockets if you choose. Throw in the fact that you can live where you want and artificially increase the value of your income and add amazing health coverage... It sounds lovely
