And NJ has been great to me! Of course we all want a raise (be stupid if we didn’t), but it’s everything I thought it would be. Upgrade times are definitely going to come down. We just had a bid for almost 60 first-time Captains, and if that doesn’t cover the remaining 15-year FO’s, they’ll definitely have the chance before the end of the year. We’re almost at minimum PIC/SIC ratio and are shooting for almost 700 new-hires next year, which should mean about 400 upgrades. Pretty lofty goals, but exciting.

What kinds of things are on the horizon at FE for recruiting/retention? Any FDP yet?

Cool Glad to hear it..

That’s awesome!

I’m glad to hear that you landed so well and NJ has worked out so well for you, no surprise. You deserved it and came as a great asset to them.. 15 year upgrade, to 10, down to 7 in just a few years!! So sorry to hear about our XO and Vista friends..

Things are going great here like we talked about a while back.. The $330 Million Textron deal, the INC 5000 Fastest Growing Companies, the new Training Center.. It’s great to watch, especially since they really started building and growing during Covid-19. I was just in ISO last week and I could hardly recognize the place with all the construction.

No FDP yet, but who knows.. Our INDOCS are about 20-26 per month, and it takes 17 new hires just to stay where we are and even more to account for our growth of at least 2 jets per month. We are shooting to reach 100 jets in the next few months. Our attrition destinations are no longer LCC’s, like all of us 91K/135 carriers and now our alumni are heading to AA, DL, FDX, J9, UAL, etc. We lose some of the younger pilots to you all and Flex as well, where a longer upgrade doesn’t seem so long in your 20’s or 30’s but your benefits rule.

Thanks for asking and I look forward to running into at a Signature near you.

You keep doing things the way you're doing them and you'll get them. Best wishes!!!

That's behind a paywall, can you give us the short version?

Edit: here's a link to a story about FE but there's nothing about a tie up between Flexjet and FE:

Here is the PR newswire version.

Flyexclusive is going to reverse merge into a SPAC that raised $200M in working capital. Essentially they are going public. Just announced this morning.

Default Article on FE having to raise pay

https://www.businessinsider.com/priv...ortage-2022-10

FE says they've had to raise pay 20%-30% to get the A&P's and Pilots they need. Pilot training is the big bottleneck and they are buying Sims and hope to do their pilot training in house by 2024.

Sorry about the confusion. I was saying that FE announced it was going public through SPAC merger.

Flexjet announced last week the same.

Anyone have the flyExclusive PRIA contact persons name/email/phone number? My new employer has sent multiple requests with no reply as of yet, going on a month.

it will soon become another penny stock company like WU
99% of SPACS are a shell game at best.
