I was just wondering if there's any new info about the guaranteed Allegiant interview. Have there been many guys hired direct from AMF to Allegiant?
Also, does anyone know what the work picture is like in SLC? Schedule and upgrade to the 1900 or sa227?

It isn't a guaranteed interview. A few have gone from AMF to Allegiant.
Unfortunately I can't speak to the SLC particulars since I have only flown up there for three days back when I first started here. |

First Officers are an afterthought at AMF, captains will get the priority.

That's what I'm thinking - keep space open in the class for Captains, if there is any space left, call in an FO...

I wonder if AMF still have VFR captain spot for people that willing to do that to time build till they get to the IFR requirement if they are taking less FO for now. I am trying to figure if there other outfit that do VFR flight for time build. That somethig to ask the recruiter about that.

Also, does anyone know what the work picture is like in SLC? Schedule and upgrade to the 1900 or sa227? Nothing smaller than a BE99 in SLC. Junior SA227 pilots are under a year, BE1900 around a year, EMB120 captains 9 years. |
Emb 120 bases?
Anyone know what bases have the emb120? I understand there one at PDX? and one at BLI, and I think I have heard most are in the southwest area or Texas, just wondering where they would sent the FO for staffing. Also are they planning to add more emb120 or Sa-227, and 1900 as hey progress for the needs of Captains on the single IFR aircraft since regional are pushing for pilot due to the majors.

As for adding planes, there are actually very few SA227 or BE1900 aircraft out there for us to acquire. Right now our issue isn't so much airframes as it is pilots. We currently have a few planes parked because we can't staff them. |

I imagine all the FO applicants are getting the run around from recruiting because FOs (other than the 120) are pretty much worthless as far as adding immediate benefit to the company. They draw a paycheck and add no benefit, as the plane can be flown single pilot. I imagine that given a lack of qualified captain applicants, they are hiring FOs and hoping some of them stick around after they hit 1200 and actually PIC revenue producing runs. It used to be that Koreans filled the right seat, and they PAID for the opportunity to do so. I'll bet a number of FOs warm a seat till 1200 hours, upgrade, then quit at 1500 for a regional. So FOs aren't top priority.
