Read back like 4-10 pages in this thread.

Yea I've heard the same, things have gotten better...this is all from a friend who worked there not too long ago. I hear 1200 was the magic number for that metro seat and they're also internally promoting guys onto their doriner jets.
55k starting plus benefits, and only goes up from there.
Jet guys i think are over 100k.
and then apparently there was always the rumor swirling around that they were going to get a 737 or 757.

As a metro training captain/check airman, I have seldom seen pilots with less than 1600 hours (1400 if they are REALLY talented or military trained) be able to handle it in an emergency.

But if they are hiring at that level, more power to 'em. I think it's too low on an experience level.

No, a candidate for AMF would not be put in the metro at 1200 hours. We have Metro first officers that reach their 1200 hours and are sent directly to the 99.

If you won't accept a run under 2 hours, then this may not be an ideal place for you. There may be times where 2 hour or less days are necessary to cover lines or TDY.

Wouldn't trade this experience for anything. I've learned a lot and working with older equipment has been great in its own way. Some dislike it here, others understand what it is and what one can get out of it.

Does the metro pay alot more than the 1900 with the bonus?

Yes. They are essentially the same base pay, but the bonus makes the metro more attractive to pilots. There's no shortage of pilots here wanting to fly the 1900.

Has AMF been shrinking at all due to lack of pilots? I know the Kalispell run is supposed to go to Empire as soon as they can find an ATR pilot. Though thats due to Kalispell always bulking out.

Right, our customers evaluate and make changes. Jackson will be upgrading from a 1900 to a brasillia. Metros are where we are really hurting for pilots, hence the bonuses, and yes, that makes it pay significantly better than the 1900 now.
