Not really sure if we still have people in a pool or not. How many people are in the October class that just started?

I was told they're trying to put 7 people in it, but it will probably be more like 5. It starts this Monday... sorta a last minute thing.

There isn't a pool that I know of.

Warm up cold Amflight thread....OAK questions

OAK base always seems to be hiring, with Burbank a close second. Any Amflighters out there to shed some light on this trend? On the surface it may seem to be a QOL thing (Bay area crazy expensive cost of living), but I may have missed the mark here. What equipment is operated out of Oakland? Please advise....

Also, does Amflight operate any outstations in the Central Valley?

Thanks!

Cal

Don't forget PDX. The reason is that these bases have a large number of chieftains, and pilots often opt to transfer out of these bases for turbine upgrades rather than wait for one to happen within the base.

The high seniority bases (ie SEA) and those which are all or mostly turbine equipped (ie SLC and PHX) have had their vacancies mostly filled by transfers from such bases recently, so you'll rarely see them as an option for a new hire.

I don't know that it has really has much to do with California. I'm assuming you mean "outstation based" with your other question, and yes they do.

We've had two this month that will be leaving for Ameriflight, and two last month left for the same thing. I know of at least one going/went to OAK.

You really don't want to know....

I am not here to Bash, I was taught if you do not have anything nice to say don't say anything at all.

Dang right. We're so "Ice Cold" the planes freeze up with frost and ice when we walk past them on the ramp.
