I agree. I'd also be surprised if the company (evektor) wants to redesign their plane around an engine still in development. I think Cape Air just needs to accept the PT-6. It's a great, reliable engine and I'm sure 9K can get FAA approval for extensions on TBO with a progressive maintenance program which they've done with the TSIO-520.

Working for Cape Air
Hey guys!
So I just sent my resume and app in 2 days ago. I was wondering if anybody knows of what's going on in Cape Air's recruiting office these days? Any hiring? I'm 1250TT 260 multi 300 turbine (pc-12) and the rest of the PIC/FO mins.
Also, where could new hires expect to go? I understand the north in the summer and south in the winter thing, which i think is great! What are the junior lines up north??

Not too sure what's going on in recruiting. We seemed to have gone from being overstaffed to needing more pilots all of a sudden...the training schedule kinda filled up with a few new hire Captains, upgrades and interns. There seems to always be a pool however in case we do need pilots so keep following up with recruiting to find out what the updates are. I think we are going to be needing some more FOs soon though, the new CAs will need them for high mins and also to replace the guys upgrading so you never know. Sorry it's not solid info but keep following up and good luck.

wherever they need you. Right now the mid-west region (STL) is the jr base. I'm on the schedule for upgrade, but no class date yet.

Not sure on CA slots. I saw what I believe is the 5 new guys in training the other day. That looks about right on the schedule.

The Pool is for ATP Captains. they were hiring FO's off the street, at least that's what they were doing last year when I was hired.
