Take this with a grain of salt, but a fellow line pilot apparently chatted with someone in recruiting and was told that the next captain class they'll probably run is in the early fall. Apparently this was due to aircraft availability issues in the north during the high season.
Staffing is really really thin, though. Almost 10% of the lines system-wide are uncovered, and that's not counting the new IRK base opening later this summer. They must be really abusing those TDY guys to make the schedule work.

There's a few open lines in the Northeast, mostly HYA that I would imagine they will fill. I think I saw a RKD and STL line open in there too, and when the new Kirksville service begins in Sept that could be a junior line, depending on the line value/schedule etc.
