Surf Europe and surf air pilot future
 

Gents how can you get on with surf air Europe with there Jet? What is the typical future of a surf air pilot post part135, direct to majors or just a gig with a regional? 1000hrs in company for Left seat, guessing about a 1 yr upgrade, do they pay for ATP and what's the bonus if any for staying with them...

I think the one current Phenom 300 is managed by Flairjet out of London Luton. Contact Flairjet. I believe PC12NGs are forthcoming.

For those of you that work at Surf Air (Encompass now), comparing NorCal to SoCal bases, which is more junior and more likely that you'll be based at?

That's hard to say with all the upgrades happening I'd say it's 50/50 as far as FO's are concerned.

With upgrades do you anticipate more FO hiring over the next few months? I've heard rumors that surf air is looking at lower time guys these days to keep them around longer.... any truth to this? If so any advice for what HR is looking for?

Yeah i think most of the new FO's have less than 600 hours. There are a few closer to 300. Plus other captains & first officers have put in notice since this last class started so they have to fill those spots too. They are after all trying to grow not just fill in current openings. So apply.

Are there any updates on how the acquisition of RISE is going to play out? Is Encompass going to be taking over the flying in TX, or are they just going to re-brand the RISE aircraft into Surf Air?

If Encompass/Surf Air is going to be doing the flying, any idea when they might be hiring to fill the Texas flying?

No one knows. It is a very complication situation with many moving parts.

Looks like the thread has been quiet for a bit. Would any one know if they're hiring either FO's or Capt for the CRQ base?
