Why is PSA 100% better than Envoy and Endeavor for people living in the southeast? If I lived in the southeast and wanted a short commute, I would have three good choices. Crew bases aside, Endeavor, Envoy and PSA are very similar is many ways.
How many people that work at Endeavor to Envoy are working right now, and wishing that they were off with family on this holiday? How many pilots at PSA are wishing the same thing?

That is the difference.

Any line holder at PSA could take the 4th of July off, along with any other holiday, with little to no effort.

So who flies on the 4th then? Plenty of willing people that don't mind flying today?

I'd be flying today if I worked for the company.

I've been commuting for 2.5 years and so far don't mind it. If I SAP to 65 I only have to commute 3-4 times a month although lately I've been picking up a 2 or 3 day trip. I've only had to get a hotel before or after a trip maybe once every 2-3 months.

Personally, I would rather commute for the SAP than live in base at another regional. I say this and my hometown usually only has 2 flights a day to CLT so sometimes I even 2 leg it. The only other regional I would consider is Endeavor and that's only because their captains get paid 20k more than ours.

For me, SAP makes this seem like a part time job. I feel like I'm always on vacation. I think this is also why #911 out of roughly 1300 pilots just got awarded upgrade. Once you get off reserve and experience the SAP...it's hard to give it up.

Add a disclaimer with your misleading statement then.

*Disclaimer - If you live in the southeast AND don't live close to MIA or ATL (the two largest metro areas in the southeast), PSA might be the better choice when taking into account schedule flexibility. Schedule flexibility and crew bases aside, PSA is no better than any other regional. In fact, PSA is lacking is most areas besides the schedule flexibility part. Any new base PSA opens, will be a base some other regional has. PHL, LGA, ORD, DFW etc

Pretty sure I mentioned living in another airline's base....

Anywho, I'll take the SAP over pretty much any contract provision you can throw at me so......

PSA.....Unless you live in another airline's base.
