Don't think they opposed more airplanes; they opposed more concessions for those planes.

Sounds like a lot of people could learn from them.

The pilot shortage is here. You guys need to grow a pair and just say no to concessions. The Eagle guys did.

You PSAers have a new contract already. If MGT wants to talk its for concessions.

He meant leases, not contract.

I have been saying all along that Eagle didn't turn down concessions. Eagle MEC turned down the B scale they actually proposed to begin with after the pilots made their voices heard. The union told the company we are done talking about a b scale, but they are still engaged in concession talks. I don't sugar coat sh!t, I care about pay and QOL. I am in my late 30s and hope to have a good career and know that taking a b scale and concessions will just cause for the entire industry to continue driving down wages at the regionals and the majors. The greater the disparity between majors and regional the more leverage management has in outsourcing and lower wages at the mainlines. I care about myself but I care about my future and I am not willing to undercut and sell myself for the chance of airplanes short term.

Eagle said no to a B scale, the next round to concessions will start right after the PSA talk regardless of how the talks go there. Management will place airplanes at both regionals. I don't think the pay cuts will really make a difference and I have a feeling that after the paycuts happen specially at eagle since we have the largest group of pilots they will merge the airlines and then both will use the Eagle contract. Hang on tight boys and girls they have a plan, and they can save a whole lot of money by merging operations specially when they will be searching for pilots. management already has the whipsaw machine in the contracts and they will whipsaw you against regionals that don't even fly for AA. Look at what is happening at Eagle, being compared to Pinnacle, Compass and GoJet. They are singing the same song at all the regionals, we are stupid to fall on the sword. We can fly a crippled airplane but we can't tell management to go F themselves when they can't find pilots.

If there is any talk of concessions or b-scale, our mec better turn it down like eagle. If it goes to a membership vote, well you know how a bunch of scared pilots vote.
