To my knowledge they are supposed to have another meeting in the upcoming days. So I would have to say that PSA already saying no is a rumor. If they want to give us the same or similar deal as Eagle then in sure we will turn the rumor into reality.

Email from the union is out.

No agreement has been reached, negotiations will continue next week.

Please disregard the troll who started the "PSA say NO!" Thread cause it ain't true.

I wasn't trolling, I was just asking if others knew. I think most people agree PSA saying no to concessions is a good thing...

Yes for what? Psa just got a new contract. Vote yes to give money back to a company posting a huge quarterly profit?

Have you guys heard one way or another about the new airframes being 700/900's or 170's?

The only official communication is that they are negotiating larger jets and no agreement has been made, nor has any proposal been turned down. Negotiations to resume next week. Anything other than this is speculation.

900s would make more sense. It is more fuel efficient than the 170/175 and the training cost is pretty much non existent. Not only for pilots but also the maintenance and flight attendants. Passengers do prefer the Embraers but we don't have enough gates in E concourse to accommodate them. But the ultimate decision may lie with bombardier and embraer. The management is whipsawing them as they are whipsawing AE and PSA and probably PDT next.

Going out on a limb here, but lets say career progression COULD be improved in whatever agreement takes place. Maybe some sort of flow into the 190 off a 175 actually reduces overall training cost in the long run? That's just a hypothetical.

I personally agree with skyx, 900s are a no brainer cost wise. Even more 700s to replace the aging 200s. Maybe replace all 200s with 700s then add 900s over and above the 49 a/c PSA has? Unless Parker has a big banana in the pants for the 170s since passengers like them so much. Regardless of where the A/C go I wonder if they will be wifi equipped and have features like the new RAH 170s.
