You sure seem to know a lot about this TA, despite you yourself claiming nobody knows what's in it. You sir are a hypocrite.

How can we add additional airframes when we can't even staff what we've got?

while we are still short some FOs, staffing isn't bad. we are able to fill classes at the moment. but I agree, theres definitely a shortage of qualified applicants

If you want to "stop the whipsaw", then you need to stop the competition for flying within a brand....Only the mainline pilots can do that and they don't care as long as they get a pay raise.....

PDT is top heavy, but we only have 350 or so pilots. So it wouldn't take much to offer the top 20% of PDT/PSA early retirement or a buy out. They are doing ZERO updates to our fleet. "We can't justify the cost to acquire more -300's", the work horse and most sought after plane in our fleet. If they wanted us to continue flying the Dash, they'd be acquiring more of them to match all the airframes wear losing over the next 16 months. I know the last thing PSA wants is a merger with PDT, due to seniority issues, but by adding an additional 40 airframes, it shouldn't be that devastating to anyone. Just my opinion.
