Not trying to flame here, but help me understand this. The 200/700/900 are pretty close to the same thing, right? And your trips are to the same places (in some cases, I get that there are 200 only cities, and 700 only cities, and cities we take both to), for pretty close to the same times. So, why should pilots be paid, say, $22/hr for a 200, $40/hr for a 700, and $50/hr for a 900??

That is a pretty lame excuse, as a pilot, especially an FO that makes no diference that you are carrying more pax only for the FA who has to work harder, you don't have to do any extra work. And if you want to continue whining about getting more pay for mor pax, don't try for a company like fed ex, you will get the same pay flying the Airbus as you would the 727 eventhough you are carrying more revenue, it is the name of the game. And frankly we are paid as FO's about the same flying a 200 or 700 here at PSA as pilots flying the 900 at mesaba, we have brothers and sisters on furlough right now, why don't we concentrate on what would be best for PSA and the furloughed pilots. I know it would be nice to get better pay for a larger aircraft, but in these economic times, everyone needs to work together.

You think a Delta 767 pilot makes the same as a 737 one flying the same route?
More revenue for the company should be more revenue for the pilots. More people to load and unload equals longer turn around times. More people equals more responsibility. Bigger airplanes at the regional level means more time working at the regional level making sub par wages and living with subpar schedules.
Also....If PSA had 100 seat airplanes, then we could get rid of two CRJ 200's for every 100 seat airplane. That would cut our pilot staff in half. Why would we just bend over to help them cut 50% of our jobs?

To answer the question about fed ex, you are correct, however the 757 has a much more significant payload capability than the 727 as well, thus the purpose of the statement still stands, thank you for the correction on the a/c. As far as the Delta stance from the previous person, you get paid the same to fly a A330 ( pax capability is @200) and a B767/400 ( pax capability is @ 240) a difference of about 50 pax, the CRJ 200 - 50 pax, CRJ 700 - 75 px, CRJ 900 between 85- 95 depending, less than a 50 PAX difference, not too much more than the 700 currently being flown. I understand I may sound a little bitter, and I am sorry, I have been on furlough since start of July, and the PSA management has done more for me than my own pilot union, and thats not saying much.

I am pretty tired myself, you are most likely right about the airbus, but I will ask my father, we has on the Airbus for awhile before he jumped to the MD11 and I thought the Airbus ws a narrow body pay, but I have been wrong before, and I am pretty tired. But the 757 and 727 are the same pay, and the 757 carries much more revenue than the 727. I thank you for the correction, and the sympathy. I truely wish the MEC would get more involved in us that are furloughed. They are truely showing me that my money(once I am back and off of apprentice status) is going to nothing.
