Neither you nor I are qualified in the complexities of pricing labor contracts. Jerry Glass is though, and he is STILL desperately putting a ton of wasted effort into trying to whittle our agreement down. Has he been knocking on your door since you capitulated to him on your first round?
Your contract is amendable in 2016 yes?
At that time PSA's rate for a capped captain will be ~$91/hr.
Example: I am a 12 year capped captain. In the SAP I drop my credit to 65 hours with 18 days off. This is fully repeatable and I do it every month. I can sometimes get 19 days off if there's 31 days but also sometimes I can only get 17 days off because I need to add an out and back to actually get up to 65 hours.
After the SAP I add one 4 day trip to bring my credit to 95 hours. I now have 14 days off and have chosen which days to work, and which days not to work.
I get paid $8645. This is without "shifting" any of my other trips on to critical days and getting paid critical for the whole trip. So I could be crediting up to 125-130 hours with 14 days off. Or I could stay with the 18 days off by not adding the 4 day and get 95 hours credit from shifting only. That won't happen every month but you can usually get one trip shifted at least. but we'll stick with the $8645 for comparison.
A topped out Eagle captain will make ~103/hr. He has good seniority so is able to score a line with 85 hours credit and 14 days off. (I'm sure there are better ones sometimes, but there's also probably worse ones too. 85 and 14 should be average, correct this if needed.)
The topped out Eagle captain makes $8755. Is that more than our friend at PSA? Yes, by $110. Sweet! $110 more than that PSA scumbag. However, he also missed his wife's birthday and he had to work labor day, missing all the sweet barbeques.
Lets not forget that only a topped out captain is going to make that hourly rate so our 12 year PSA guy is actually making more than every other pilot at Eagle that isn't on 18 year pay. With a very real possibility of making more than that 18 year guy anyway.
Long story short $110 a month is not paradigm shifting or industry altering in any way especially considering that 95 hours and 14 days off is actually a bad month at PSA.
But hey, you guys keep trying like hell and risking your careers to protect a contract that isn't even that good to begin with.

JT8D...relax, man. From one Envoy pilot to another: take it easy.
None of us are happy at how PSA stabbed us in the back a year ago and put us in this position. But here we are...and at this point there are bigger fish to fry. We have certain LEC members within our Union who think they are smarter than everyone else while a bunch of angry Captains keep encouraging everyone to "burn it down" even though they have one foot out the door either through retirement or flow to AA.
We are have our own house to fix right now and if we don't it will tip over. Attacking other airlines like PSA won't help our situation any at all moving forward.

I know what you mean though. And contrary to popular belief amongst eagle pilots, them 900s would've went to Mesa if PSA turned it down. That came straight from AA's negotiator. So let's see, PSA already did a public service by turning down 900s before and helped Republic and Mesa. The history was about to repeat itself. What's a better option? Grow Mesa who's known to have bottom feed and work rules for the past decade? Or grow PSA who has one of the best QOL and top pay (if you want)? It's Skywest, XJT, Compass and Republic that's actually taking eagle's flying but hey they're cool because they've turned down a mediocre contract renewal at best.

How does that famous saying go....."spend money to make money". Well we capped our rates "spent money" and now are making more money then ever and improved our QOL, home for any day that is needed, and with all of these shiny new jets to give us more opportunity to do all this..... "Made money"
Looks like we have raised the bar not lowered it. ChickHicks is right should AA need some concessions, come on down to us at PSA, we are always interested in a sweet deal. Worked wonders before. Don't waste your time negotiating with Jt8D and eagle pilots they are too busy on airline pilot forums arguing with PSA flight attendants HAHAHAHA sorry dude it's true your arguing with our flight attendants who are on here for sheer entertainment. Thanks for humoring them as we are too busy flying these shiny new jets making money!

Eagle is going through what PSA went thru back in 2008 and furloughed. Me being one of the furloughees for over 2 years. I must be crazy by voting no along with 39% of the guys here but you won't see us going to republic and mesa's forum and calling them names. Maybe in our heads but definitely not out loud... I respect what eagle did but please show SOME mutual respect.

Pagey can project future earnings all he wants, but in ten years PSA as it is now won't even exist. If they hadn't sold out on the 12/4, Piedmont and Eagle would not have to stand up and fight as we do now.
They are back stabbing sellouts.

So at the end of the day does anyone on here see any hope for Envoy? I for some reason really want to fly at Envoy and I also admire the pilot group for their BALLS
!!! Also because I can perhaps live at my base which hopefully can be either LGA or MIA. (not sure if these bases are junior) I just want a place where I can stay put and perhaps work my ass off to make extra pay and maybe make Captain someday. I am divorced and kids are all grown up so QOL doesnt matter. I can fly fly fly to make up hours for the ****ty pay. I am up there in age and I dont want to be fiddling around changing jobs back and forth. I am good with ending my career here. But if there are possibilities that the company may fold or that I will croak as an FO than I rather hit PSA!!
