Their strategy when they were selling our 12/4 deal was to play ball now and get improvements later. They realized the 12/4 was garbage but thought there was no alternative, and that the threats from the company were not bluffs.

They also believed the deal would give us leverage in the future because now PSA is guaranteed to exist at least until 2023 due to the language regarding acft in the LOA.

As far as our contract needing improvements think what you will. Our contract is industry standard AT WORST in all but 12/4. Some people have different views on what makes a contract good or bad. My personal view is that time off and soft pay is what's important because that's where the QoL is. If you are getting a bunch of days off with a bunch of credit what else is there? Right now there is no contract in the regional section that can compete with ours in that regard. Period.

This part is just speculation but I would guess what they are trying to do is improve our current hiring agreement into a full fledged flow, or at the very least increase the required number of pilots taken to AAG per month to more closely match our new size. This whole thing is just rumor anyway. There have been no official union communications about any of this.

If you are interested in PSA, you can call me. 859-466-7226. I was at Comair 18 years until we were shut down.

All this talk in here about our Pilot group is non sense. Like I said before, the down ward pressure on our contracts started way way before our current one here at PSA was voted in.

We were on strike for 89 days to win our contract and it went down hill from there . If you want to call me names I really don't care. We at Comair paid our dues.

I understand these guys frustration but it is what it is. Need to let it go, take a deep breath and keep working towards that Major job you want if that is your goal.

My experience with my schedule at PSA has been positive so far. Very easy to move reserve days around and able to trade trips with a round 2 line.

So basically they were delusional. They really thought this management team would allow improvements after the fact without any mandatory amendment round? This management group has proven that when staffing issues suggest that they should improve a contract that they will put their fingers in their ears and scream "lalalalalala," and then continue to demand concessions. The PSA pilots made their bed, now they get to sleep in it. If your contract is so great then there shouldn't be rumblings about your MEC contacting national in an attempt for contract improvements just barely a year after having voted in concessions to undercut members of the same national union.

Let me ask you something. Do you think this management team will give PSA an increased flow without giving up something (or many things)? Especially when it seems you guys are not having any problems with hiring.

Doesn't matter how good your contract is. Wouldn't you always want to make it better? You don't think delta wants to improve their contract.

Guys....You need to relax.

I'm just relaying the information I was told.

Improving our hiring agreement has nothing to do with our contract being good, or bad. There are plenty of posts regarding what is in, and what isn't in our contract.

Decide for yourselves.

You know people are responding to what nancey said right?? Proudly denied 4 PSA pilots?? And you're defending him? I know first hand that's BS. And no you don't represent 'murican... so don't go threatening our chicken shht airline because we carry plenty of AA guys and gals to their homes and their families.
