Either the poster needs EKG every 6 months or goto the place where they shake your hand and give you a medical.

Just go to your local fire station that has a paramedic and get a free EKG . That'd be nice if they accepted that.

Alright, I fibbed just a tad bit. It's $2 hundo with the EKG, and I think its like $160 for a 1st without EKG. I used to get a 1st with an EKG once a year and let it expire To a 2nd since my company would pay for one faa physical a year and that is all they required for part 91.

Hi cltguy, can you any one else at PSA give some insight on salary during training in Dayton. Do you get per diem for the whole 6 weeks of indoc, including weekends, What about '' payed during training'' how is that calculated? Thanks to anyone who replies.

You get continuous per diem throughout training at day and once you go back to sims, differences. You get min guarantee while in training.

It works out to ~$3000 a month during training when you are in Dayton and then in the Sims. It isn't too bad at all.

Here is the latest and greatest from PSA, I'm in class this month. First I want to say in my opinion we are being treated very well. For those that don't know, we get full pay during training along with per diem 24 hours per day while in training.

The hotel is pretty good, lots around here in walking distance. Very clean and modernized, with frige and microwave. Walmart is across the street and you can walk to it.

Food has been provided by the company for lunch a few times.

Class breakdown as follows and I may be off slightly.

32 in class, 5 no shows. Probably has something to do with TSA CQFO my guess. 1 ground inst, 1 sim inst, and 1 dispatcher. 1/2 are previous 121, 1/2 are cfi. 6 restricted ATPs. 1 military restricted hours. 2 people getting ATP. There are Envoy, Endeavor, Expressjet, and Gojet people. Currently there are 120 students in the building total doing various things.

A whole bunch of management has been in and out, here is the latest for discussion.

63 planes today, 126 by June 2016 confirmed.

There are still the options for 40 more CRJ700 and they will be "shocked if they dont get the majority of them".

Taking 3 900's per month now
June 2nd the 700's start arriving, end june 2016

New base is nearly assured, nobody knows where, trying to avoid NY at all costs. Chicago mentioned. Orlando was also mentioned but seems a stretch.

Charlotte will grow to 900-1000 pilots.

Nothing west of mississippi as base, but may be some flying west.

All 200s stay east. 200's are not going anywhere, first lease due in 2018, last in 2021. They own 1/2 of them, lease other 1/2.

Currently want 1300 active pilots (1450 total).

SSP will be looked at after merger, will be flow and enhanced.

The only thing that can stop the growth is lack of pilots. Company pilots get 1000 dollars for every referral that is hired, some guys are bringing all their friends over from other airlines, one guy has made $10,000 last year.

Said endeavors $30,000 bonus should be a scary red flag. Envoy has 7 full time pilot recruiters but only 10 new hires per month.

12 month upgrades for next 18 months.

Was said no company gears up for hiring like this just to turn it off meaning flow is going to increase and more option planes a coming.

I think that you are right that the major problem at PSA is the lack of pilots in the future. Everything is great right now, but that is a problem that all of the airlines are going to have in the near future.

The airlines that are attracting pilots are going to be the ones that get the new airplanes. I think that will be true across the board for all airlines.
