Theoretically, would those be arriving after all of the 700s are transfered? Do you think they will take all 40 options?

Not an official opinion, just mine. The options have to come after the 700's. Taking in 3 airplanes per month is a complex endeavour as it is. Adding another 2-3 will make life very difficult for PSA.

Ya more than 3 per month is pretty much impossible, I have heard that the 700s might be dealyed so they can take the 40 900 options starting this summer and then take the 700s afterwards, heard this from a buddy at Envoy.

That could be possible, but won't affect the pace of growth at all. I have no doubt that the 47 700's will get here regardless of what would have happened at Envoy. Single fleet is the trend at regionals, much more cost effective

Agreed, in the end it could be a fleet of 166 CRJs.

I believe that the new airplanes will follow the pilots. In the past, it has been the other way around. The market has started to turn, however. If a regional is actively attracting new pilots, the airplanes will go there (as long as costs are in line). If places like RAH and Envoy are having a hard time filling the airplanes that they already have, there is no way that AAG will send them more airplanes.

Any thoughts on this?

Since I have personal knowledge of RAH, I can comment on that. I highly doubt they will add another type to their fleet. They are letting go of profitable aircrafts (145) because they can't staff them.

RAH are going to single type and eventually consolidating all their certificates (of allowing pilots to fly both certificates, which is essentially the same). The main purpose of these changes is to efficiently utilize their pilots. That's how desperate they are...

I don't think so, Mesa has no issues yet staffing classes and airplanes, and we have a mixed fleet. All it takes is word of more airplanes, and the company not actively looking towards concessions of its pilot group. Envoy has a reputation of being hostile to its employees. RAH has a reputation of lying to people, PSA has a reputation of failing 50 to 60% of new hires even though they need people badly...
Mesa is pretty much, "You get what you see", and has a reputation of having an excellent pilot group to work with. And so far, for 2013 new hires, the promise of fast upgrades was no lie. I wouldn't be surprised to see some 2014 new hires on the next CA award.
Of course Mesa has the worst benefits of any regional, and we have to pay for KCM if we want it, and buy our own iPad... Pick your poison!

Says who? In my class of 35 ish, thus far three are out. One was a paperwork issue, and the other two just couldn't get it together in the sim. One of those has been invited back in 6 months.

The course is currently scheduled at 8 sessions, instructors tell us that they anticipate most needing 10, and they'll take you out to 12 as necessary.

Does anyone know at what point in time does the 1500 hour minimum have to be met? I understand that 25 hours of sim can be used towards the 50 hours of multi, but do the minimums apply before starting IOE since I assume you have to have the type rating and the ATP ticket by then?
