Hey guys. I'm currently CFI'ing and will be looking to enter the life of a regional pilot in the next month or two. Yeah I know...what am I thinking? I'm really leaning towards PSA since I live right outside of DAY. But I'm getting yelled at by people from other airlines to stay away from PSA. It's no secret that Envoy and PSA aren't good buddies at the moment. But I'm hearing from my former CFI who's at RAH that their pilots aren't happy with PSA pilots and don't respect them. Same thing a friend of mine told me who's at XJT. What's more concerning is that my gf's father flies for Delta and he has ins with the hiring department there and his brother is a check airman at AA. Even he's telling me to go to any regional except PSA because their actions are being looked at more closely by the majors than they think. I don't want to be an outcast in the aviation community and have to worry about JS denials, but when it all comes down to it this isn't a popularity contest and living in base obviously is huge. Not to mention the growth and quick upgrade time that PSA seems to be positioned for. What kind of feedback can you guys who work there give me? Thanks.

John, an honest question looking for an honest answer; would you say there is an anti PSA feeling permeating AA? I.e. Do you think working for Psa would hinder ones career when it comes to being hired at a major? Compared to say RAH, compass, Gojets, or PDT?

You only can 11 days off a month at the majority of airlines, so pick the airline where your quality of life is the highest for the other 20 days out of the month.

Hey guys so I just got emailed for an interview with PSA for the end of the month. This would be my first regional Job and looks like a good move for my career advancement. If I were offered the job I was planning on accepting a class date for sometime in January. Would requesting a class date that far in advance have a significant effect on my seniority and possible upgrade time?
