It would be the time it takes you to decide to move, plus Indoc plus sims, plus 300 hours in the right seat if you don't have 2500 in the right/left combined. Unless your worried about your own interviewing abilities, it will move faster down the list if they leave it as an interview. They have to give at least 4 offers a month if they burn through 100 numbers to give out 4 offers that moves you closer to the top faster than a flow would.

Thanks for the response. I have over 3,000 SIC so hope that would make it quicker. I thought I heard they were increasing the AA offers from 4/month to some higher number. Maybe not.

I personally don't think anything will change until the company goes steady state in 2018 sometime. After that, my guess 10% per year. They only rumor I heard was an increase for some SAP givebacks which is very popular in terms of making more money, creating more total days off or creating more productive schedules for yourself. So that talk may be DOA.

I would quit if you have at least 3 years at the same company. Some of these guys on there 3rd airline in 5 years are going to have to answer for that when they get called to mainline. A wise mainline guy told me it's ok to quit as long as you can clearly demonstrate its a vertical move, and your reason for quitting can never be anything you could or should have known before you took the job.

Thanks for the advice. I appreciate it. Things were looking good until today when they postponed 12 captain upgrades until later this summer.

Is this information from a credible source? Do you or anybody know what month they will be postponed to? Also, anybody have an idea how many captain upgrades behind these twelve have been awarded?

I've heard (assuming one meets the minimums) current captain upgrade can be anywhere from right off of FO IOE, or within four months. Anybody have any info on this?

I am not sure what he is talking about - possibly another airline. I did not receive any emails about an upgrade class being cancelled today. A couple were cancelled and re-awarded a couple weeks ago. We are really short captains and overstaffed for FO's, so I am not sure why we would cancel an upgrade class.

Expect fast upgrades of prior 121 guys for awhile. In reading the company message board, I would expect street captain hires before too long.

and...hmm... I should say something negative so people don't think I am a cheerleader or a recruiter. The CLT crew room is absolutely terrible and smells funny. The remodeling of it is going to be a huge pain in the butt, and has been delayed once already. How's that?

This guy was talking about his current airline. Not Psa.

Answer me this question honestly...how long have you been in the 121 world??
Your posts make me laugh. And your girlfriends at Envoy posts make me laugh.
